世界では2010年に数量限定にて第1弾がリリースとなった“ボウモア10年テンペスト”シリーズ。
その後、2015年まで毎年数量限定で第6弾（バッチ6）までリリースされております。
このシリーズのコンセプトは、ファーストフィルのバーボン樽で10年以上熟成した原酒を100％使用し、カスクストレングスでボトリングするということ。
テンペストとは嵐や暴風雨のことで、アイラ島の気候や風土になぞらえてこのシリーズの力強い味わいを表しています。
当店のこのボトルは、上記シリーズの第5弾（バッチ5）でアルコール度数55.9％。
日本では、2015年に1,800本限定でリリースされました。
海岸沿いに面しているボウモア蒸留所の中でも、海からの波しぶきや暴風雨など自然の荒々しい恵みを大いに受ける第一貯蔵庫で熟成された原酒のみがボトリングされています。
穏やかな潮の香りに爽やかな後味、それでいて力強いボディ。厳しい環境で育まれたとは思えぬほどまとまりがあります。ラフロイグやアードベッグとはまた違ったアイラモルトの醍醐味。ぜひお楽しみください。
