ガスコーニュ・スピリッツを持ち続けることにこだわり、現在に至るまで同族経営を続けており、100年以上前のヴィンテージも貯蔵していると言われているジェラス家はまさに古酒のスペシャリストです。
そしてジェラス家はネゴシアン事業も展開しており、自社のブランドだけでなくテナレーゼ地区や、アルマニャックの産地として最高級とされるバ・アルマニャック地区のシングルドメーヌの商品もボトリングしています。
ドメーヌ・ド・ラサール1973は、フィロキセラ禍で絶滅危惧種となった「フォルブランシュ」種と、時代の流れに揉まれ今ではもう幻とされる「バコ」種の２種類のブドウが使われています。
生産者名はアルマニャック地方サンジュスタン村の伝説の作り手と言われているアンドレ・コスト氏で、1973年ヴィンテージの42年熟成と長期熟成されています。
しかし、彼はもうすでに引退しており、現存する原酒が全て無くなればもう二度と飲めなくなる、まさに歴史的な遺物とも言える幻の古酒となっています。
その芳香は力強いランシオ香からドライイチジクやプルーン、状態の良い葉巻のようなニュアンスも感じられます。

The Gers family is a long-established Armagnac producer with roots in the Armagnac region of Gascony. The company was founded in 1865, but the family’s history can be traced back to 1246.
Committed to preserving the Gascon spirit, the Gers family has continued to run the family business to this day, and is said to have vintages from over 100 years ago in storage, making them true specialists in aged wine.
The Gers family also operates a négociant business, bottling not only their own brand but also products from single domaines in the Tenarese region and the Bas-Armagnac region, which is considered the finest Armagnac producing region.
Domaine de Lassalle 1973 uses two types of grapes: the “Folle Blanche” variety, which became endangered due to the phylloxera plague, and the “Baco” variety, which has been worn down by the passage of time and is now considered a myth.
The producer is André Coste, a legendary Armagnac winemaker from the village of Saint-Justin in the Armagnac region, and the 1973 vintage has been aged for 42 years.
However, he has already retired, and once all the existing raw liquor is gone, this wine will never be available to drink again, making it a truly legendary aged wine that can be considered a historical relic.
The aroma ranges from a powerful rancio scent to hints of dried figs, prunes, and well-preserved cigars.
