「ロメオ・イ・フリエタ」は、「ロミオとジュリエット」をスペイン語読みしたものです。
キューバの葉巻工場では、巻き職人たちが退屈しないように、職人たちの前で小説や新聞などを読み聴かせるレクトールという役割が古くからあります。
そこで朗読される物語の中で特に人気のあったお話に由来してこのブランド名がつけられました。
2006年になってから新たに発表されたのがこちらのショートチャーチル。
ショートチャーチルと言っても、チャーチルをそのまま短くしたわけではなく、より太さのあるロブストサイズとなっており別物です。
チャーチルという名は葉巻の象徴として扱われることが多く、キューバ産シガーに関わらず様々な葉巻の名前に使われております。
約90分の喫煙時間を要するチャーチルサイズを吸うほどの時間がなくても手軽に手を出せるショートチャーチル。その味わいはスパイシーかつフルボディでしっかりと満足させてくれます。

In Cuban cigar factories, there is a role of a lector who reads novels and newspapers to the cigar rollers to keep them from getting bored.
The brand name was derived from a particularly popular story that was read aloud.
This Short Churchill was newly released in 2006.
Even though it is called a Short Churchill, it is not a shortened Churchill, but a thicker Robusto size, so it is a different cigar.
The name Churchill is often treated as a symbol of cigars, and is used in the names of various cigars, not just Cuban cigars.
