刻んでいない大きなタバコ葉を数枚重ねて、職人が一本一本手巻きするプレミアムシガーに対し、刻んだ葉を機械で巻き、湿度管理の必要がなく手軽に吸えるようにしたものをドライシガーといいます。
その中で、紙巻きタバコと同じくらいのサイズで巻かれ、カットの必要もなく火をつけるだけで吸えるようにしたものがシガリロです。
プレミアムシガーは管理が大変で吸うのに時間もかかる為、手軽に仕事の合間のリフレッシュにも使えるシガリロの人気が近年増してきています。
シガリロとはスペイン語でそのまま「小さいシガー」という意味で、吸い方もシガーと同様に肺に入れない口腔喫煙です。
