海賊の宝箱を思わせる形状をした木箱に入れられ、キューバ政府が国を訪れた権威ある方達に贈答品として作っていたのですが、後に一般市場にも出回るようになったのがこのボトルです。
この宝箱の中には、デキャンタのような形をした陶器のボトルに20年ほど熟成されたラムが入れられています。
イスラ デル テソロとは「宝の島」と言う意味を持ち、このボトルを象徴するシンボルマークとして宝箱が描かれています。
このラム酒は日本国内外問わずとても希少価値のあるもので、キューバ東側の熱帯気候の土地でホワイトオーク樽を使用し長期間熟成させたラム酒をブレンドすることにより生まれる特別なラム。日本国内での入手は困難な希少品です。
キューバ文化の中心地とも言える都市、サンティアゴ・デ・クーバに1872年創業のサンティアゴ・デ・クーバ蒸溜所があり、このラムの他にも数多くのラム酒を出荷し続けています。
マスターブレンダーは、キューバで生まれ育ちラムの文化や伝統、製造に関する全ての工程を熟知した「トランキーノ・パレンシア」氏が務めています。
熟成には、ホセ・ナバロ氏も携わっており、ナバロ氏はマエストロ・ロンニェロ（最高ラム熟成師）という称号を持っている偉大な熟成師で、この2人はハバナクラブ・マキシモやユニオンなどの最高級ラム酒を手掛けている素晴らしい方達でもあります。
この2人とキューバ国内でも数少ないラムマスターに選ばれている「フリオ・アヤン」氏、合わせて3名が持てる技術を結集させ、まるで本物の財宝のようなラムを作り上げました。
丁寧に作り上げられたイスラ デル テソロは透き通るような鮮やかな琥珀色で、チョコレートやコーヒーのような奥深い深みと、ビターチョコレートとバニラのほろ苦い甘さが感じられます。口当たりは優しく、じっくりと熟成されていることがうかがい知れます。

This bottle, presented in a wooden box resembling a pirate’s treasure chest, was originally produced by the Cuban government as a gift for influential figures visiting the country, but later became available on the general market.
Inside this treasure chest is a ceramic bottle shaped like a decanter containing rum aged for approximately 20 years.
Isla del Tesoro means “Island of Treasure,” and the treasure chest is depicted as the symbol of this bottle.
This rum is extremely rare both in Japan and internationally, a special rum created by blending rum aged for a long period in white oak barrels in the tropical climate of eastern Cuba. It is a rare item that is difficult to obtain in Japan.
The Santiago de Cuba Distillery, founded in 1872, is located in Santiago de Cuba, a city considered the heart of Cuban culture, and continues to ship many other types of rum in addition to this one. The master blender is Tranquino Palencia, born and raised in Cuba, who possesses a deep understanding of rum culture, traditions, and every step of its production.
José Navarro is also involved in the aging process; he is a great aging master holding the title of Maestro Lónñero (Master Rum Aging Master). These two are also the masters behind top-tier rums such as Havana Club Maximo and Union.
These two, along with Julio Ayan, one of the few rum masters in Cuba, have combined their skills to create a rum that is truly a treasure.
The meticulously crafted Isla del Tesoro boasts a clear, vibrant amber color, with a deep, rich flavor reminiscent of chocolate and coffee, and a bittersweet taste of dark chocolate and vanilla. Its smooth mouthfeel reveals the careful aging process.
